BLOG: quick info on Panoramas...6/22/2008

Panoramas are a relatively old concept that has in recent years been updated to a digital platform. Imagine an image that can shift its view to any point around a center of gravity in a video format. These "3D" videos can be used for many business purposes including showing off houses, parks, theaters and more views than a simple image can produce. It involves a series of photographs to be taken. After the photos are taken, then are put into a program called Stitcher. The program creates a panorama that can be edited with Photoshop or other photo editing software. Then the panorama is then uploaded back into Stitcher to create a 3d rendering of the photographs, the video can be shown either on the web or in other digital platforms. Recently, Misguided Youth Productions created two panorama videos for the Mirkwood and Shire Cafe in Arlington WA. Video one is of the front of the building while the second is of the main hall of the Shire Cafe.
